Detailed information about application and use under Windows, Mac OS X or Linux can be found in the right column "FURTHER INFORMATION:".
Information for administrators
You will need the user ID and password for the Sophos download area https://download.uni-paderborn.de/sophos. There you will find the latest Sophos client versions for Windows, Linux and Mac in 'setups'. These are not special IMT or university versions, but the versions generally distributed by Sophos. You will also find the latest virus updates for Sophos there.
The update server from which the Sophos client updates regularly must be accessible only with a user ID and password. The university has committed itself to this in the contract.
You can manually download the latest virus updates from https://www.sophos.de as an executable or zip file, but the automatic updating only works via the university server.
It is no problem to use your personal identification for updates on several computers. However, if you would like to have your own identifier, e.g. for pool rooms, it is best to send an e-mail to imt(at)uni-paderborn(dot)de. We will then send you a user ID and password.
