Version management (SVN)
With the service SVN the IMT provides individual users, institutes and departments of the university with a versioned data storage in the version management system Subversion (SVN).
Subversion is a free software for version management. It allows you to view older versions of a file, to see the difference between two versions of a file, and to merge the versions manually. It is also possible to send notifications about changes to the repository by e-mail.
The version management system is available at https://svn.uni-paderborn.de
. The repositories can be accessed via the URL svn.uni-paderborn.de 'area name'/'repository'/. The IMT supports the TortoiseSVN (Windows) client and the command line client.
Each user of a Uni-Account also has the ability to create Subversion repositories in their network storage user directory and share them with other users.
