What is Camtasia?
Screen recorder / video editor: Camtasia is a software for recording screen activities as video / so-called screencasts. Camtasia is a commercial software of the US company TechSmith. The content of the screen can be recorded completely or partially and processed further.
What is Snagit?
creen Recording / Screen Recorder: Snagit is another software from the company Techsmith for creating screen recordings and screen videos. Snagit replaces the native Print Screen function and extends it with additional functions.
Licences for training and education
The IMT can procure Camtasia and Snagit single-user licences for employees at a university discount. Efforts are made to bundle orders and obtain volume discounts. Prices may therefore vary depending on current demand.
Free trial licences can be obtained for a period of 30 days on the manufacturer's pages.
