Helpdesk system (OTRS)
The server application Helpdesk system (OTRS) is designed for departments (faculties, institutes, chairs, facilities, committees, university groups) of the University of Paderborn. The service includes the operation of (OTRS-)queues for projects and areas (e.g. Paul) and enables the defined processing of error messages, service requests, inquiries etc. Tickets can be assigned to other areas (queues) that use the ticket system. The queues are linked to e-mail addresses to which the user messages are sent.
It is also possible to provide an own ticket server, which is administered by the respective area itself (own queue, group, user administration, ...).
