Website maintenance with TYPO3 CMS

TYPO3 is a content management system (CMS) that you can call up with your browser. The application is compatible with any browser platform, so you can use any browser you like. The IMT offers the use of the open source content management system TYPO3 for maintaining websites. Editors need a Uni-Account.

Important information and instructions on TYPO3 (CMS)

To register for a TYPO3 field, please send a request with the following information:

  • Your organisational unit
  • your user name
  • the desired name for the TYPO3 field
  • the amount of storage space required

to imt@uni-paderborn.de.

As a rule, TYPO3 users can log on to the content management system at the address https://www.uni-paderborn.de/typo3.

If you replace the "www" with your hostname in the above address, the so-called "frontendediting" will also work. This means that icons for editing the content are displayed directly on the website. For example, if your web pages to be maintained are accessed via the address https://chemie.uni-paderborn.de, then log in via the URL https://chemie.uni-paderborn.de/typo3.
