The server application Authentication is designed for areas (e.g. faculties, institutes, chairs, facilities, committees, university groups) of the University of Paderborn and enables them to secure access to their own applications. The users benefit from the fact that they can authenticate themselves to applications of decentralized areas via their Uni-Account.

Authentication requires that the corresponding applications in the areas are operated securely and are able to use LDAP or Kerberos. Further prerequisites must be clarified in each individual case.
